The Har-Aken is a humongous beast, consisting of a head and multiple tentacles capable of attacking you with all three combat styles. Defeating Har-Aken will require both offensive and defensive capabilities. The key to defeating this creature is by reducing the lifepoints of its head to zero, killing it as a result.

These tentacles spawn around the edge of the arena when fighting Har-Aken. The tentacle will only use its Melee attack when you attack at close range, and protection prayers will partially block the damage done by the tentacles' ranged attack. It is weak to Melee attacks, however, Magic is recommended while under the influence of a Magic crystal.

Assuming you get 12 hits in with Storm of Armadyl before it dives underwater, and each max hit is around 900 (I found it to be 888 max hit splat with 99 magic, 30% damage bonus and the Magic crystal), there is no way you can do over 25,000 damage if you find it right when it emerges. While the head does little direct damage, the tentacles of Har-Aken will attack using all three sides of the combat triangle during the fight. Har-Aken's head will occasionally surface, at this point you can deal accurate damage to it. Note that all melee and ranged damage dealt to Har-Aken will be halved. Therefore using magic is recommended.
